Desert Gardens Hotel is often praised for its spacious rooms, some of which offer views of Uluru, allowing guests to watch both sunrise and sunset right from their balcony. The availability of a guest laundry is a definite plus for many visitors. While the buffet breakfast is appreciated, some guests find it a bit pricey at AUD 35. the room service was infrequent, as i had to request toilet paper and towels multiple times . housekeeping staff seemed limited. also, the tea and coffee in the room were not replenished. i was told i could collect these items from reception.

comfortable bed soy milk free shuttle unfriendly staff no late-night food limited options
the bed was really comfortable. they supplied both cow and soy milk for coffee and tea, i appreciated that (i do like my soy milk!). the free shuttle bus went between all the hotels and restaurants in the resort.
the staff were not always friendly. it is a shame there wasn't food available after returning from night experiences. providing late night food options on return would have been a nice addition to the amenities.

the pool was nice and provided a good way to cool off after a day of exploring.
The room was dusty and was like it hadn't been properly cleaned. I found several hairs in the bathroom. the noise from other guests was pretty loud and made it hard to sleep before midnight! the thin walls really let every sound travel.
